Selling a property can be tough but I had a buyer within 2 weeks and the team helped keep communication open with them whilst I found somewhere. They helped me understand the process (it had been a long time since I'd bought / sold a property) and with printing associated documentation. I sold my property and that's what I wanted - thanks.

Proffesional and friendly service. Advising and tracking both the Sales and Purchasing aspects of our move helped us to achieve our desired timescales.

Thank you, Paul! We appreciate this. Is there anyway we could have made this 5 star for you?

My wife worked for many years with the old agency - Burns & Webber in Cranleigh so when we were looking to use an agent to sell one of our investment properties we looked to the re branded office in Cranleigh - Curchods. Clive came out and valued the property and we agreed a price. Even though their minimum fee was higher % fee than we had been quoted by other agents, we decided to go with them thinking that the service would be 'as good as it was before' working on the understanding that you get what you pay for. Well, we had 2 viewings and 2 offers. All sounded good until Neil took over and then it all went down hill from there and the whole experience started to become very painful. We had to chase for updates and the buyers were First time buyers so were no 'house purchase savvy' not their fault everyone has to start somewhere. I'm a mortgage broker so have held many a FTB hand through the buying process - something Neil doesn't seem understand it would appear, he kept asking them questions rather than going direct to their solicitor. At one point it ended with me telling Neil what he should be doing - is this what we were paying for??? Then after Neil got side lined Garry took over - a little better but still not dynamic or impressive. Even our solicitor had to chase them for information. So overall, WILL never use them again or recommend. I would of thought because both myself and my wife were 'in the game' that they would of done a really good job - however, I guess this is how they treat their normal client's. Use them at your own peril and if you are soo chilled that you are almost asleep and you won't notice the level of service that they provide. Good Luck with your sale or purchase - you'll need it!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear your frustrations and that your experience did not live up to your expectations of the high standards we are known for and strive to uphold. We pride ourselves on providing a consistently high level of service and it’s clear that you feel we fell short in your expectations. Having looked into the concerns you've raised with the team, I understand that it was the number of legal issues that had to be rectified which were responsible for the challenges during the sale. Unfortunately the solicitors and other organisations had to to deal with these issues, over which, as agents, we have no control. That said, I fully appreciate how frustrating this must have been for you, especially given your and your wife's professional background in the industry. I am pleased that we were able to reach a satisfactory conclusion with the sale. Kind regards, Clive

It took me days to get through on the phone and no reply to my text.

I was interested in a Yarm property and for 3 weeks I was ringing and checking. The excuses ranged from: the tenant has Covid, the locks have been changed, the photographer has been in an accident, therefore nobody to show you around and finally online viewings only. Then submit an application despite not seeing it. Finally told sorry with regret etc etc I know it is a sellers or owners market but eventually when the market turns perhaps it will be a better service?

Hi Gill, thank you for making us aware of this experience. I have circulated this to the board of management for investigation.

Quite predatory - they charged me £100 to "secure the property" I applied for and had already made an agreement for. At the time, I was coming from Canada and I did not really understand UK laws, but have now been told by several people …

Hi Petunia, we are sorry to hear that your first renting experience in the UK felt disappointing, as this is never the level of service we aim to provide at abbotFox. … More

Disappointing from the start. Customer service, communication, and general service was very poor. We struggled to sell at first and we asked for advice, and were advised to lower the cost which we did. still struggled to sell. Other houses close to us with other estate agents sold quickly and for more money which can only mean that they were not marketing our property very well. finally got an offer from a first time buyer, who did not have a mortgage in principle, this is something they didn't check before allowing them to play an offer which then caused a lot of issues as the buyer couldn't get a mortgage. it took 4 weeks to get the mortgage through, and I had to chase MP for updates instead of them calling me. I had to ask a lot of questions to find out what was going on instead of being informed. finally they got an offer. in that time we have a viewing organised and Michael poole informed me that it would be cancelled, which it was not. and a prospective buyer arrived unexpectedly. throughout the whole process of the sale I did not hear from Michael poole once on the process of the sale, however on the process of the purchase, Robinsons updated me every week. when we came to complete, we agreed to sell the fridge as part of the house. someone from MP advised me that everything had to go through the solicitors which was fine. and then on the moving day, I had a call fr another member of staff to ask me what was going on with some sort of private arrangement. no communication between colleagues. I would not recommend MP, staff often do not know what's going on, and are rude when questioned as to why. I wish I had gone with someone else from the start

Terrible estate agents. They are rude when they speak to you on the phone. They charged us for fast tracking our checks and we were last in the chain to get them back, took even longer than the standard time. Never got an apology. They do very little to actually help sell your house, there only solution is to just keep lowering the price. We asked for our house to be featured on their social media page relentlessly, to spark interest page and they couldn't be bothered. We were ignored from start to finish.
