We have recently sold our house through Bacon Broadwater and I can honestly say we have had the most positive experience we could have hoped for. From the first moment I met Scott, I knew he was the man for the job. The enthusiasm and continuous support throughout the sale process was impeccable. Every agent to show a possible buyer our house was so kind and personable. Bacon supported us right through to the moment we exchanged contracts which, again, is far more than we could have ever hoped for. Going the extra mile is something that comes naturally to all members of staff. Could not recommend more highly. What a great team and what great people!

Extremely Disappointed – Dishonest and Unethical Experience I had a truly disturbing and disappointing experience with this agency. Honesty and transparency should be the foundation of any rental business – unfortunately, this company demonstrated neither. I rented a property through them, only to discover after moving in that there was a mortuary directly beneath the house. This was never disclosed to me during the rental process. I was exposed to extremely distressing scenes and sounds, which severely impacted my mental well-being and forced me to relocate shortly afterward. Not only did I suffer significant financial loss due to the unexpected move, but the agency also refused to return my deposit, despite the circumstances being entirely due to their lack of disclosure. This experience was both emotionally and financially damaging. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company. Transparency and ethics matter – and sadly, this agency failed on both fronts.

Feedback is extremely important to us as we work hard to ensure that we are offering the best possible level of service we can. We have been renting the flat that you mention for many years and we are always sure to explain to prospective tenants that there is a ‘chapel of rest’ situated behind the building where the flat is positioned. You mention the importance of honesty and transparency. The flat is not above a mortuary, it is above offices, and the nature of this commercial business is sign written above the door, so we can only apologise for any confusion. You were given the opportunity to break from your tenancy early, with no penalty and the landlords were happy to forgo the usual notice periods to allow you to move quickly after you had expressed that you were unhappy. With regards to your deposit, unfortunately the checkout report indicated claims that needed to be made, which were completely separate to any notion of non-disclosure regarding the commercial premises below the flat. We wish you well in your new property.

Terrible! From start to finish. 6 months of waiting only for the purchase to fall through twice!! because it took too long. Never followed up on promised call backs I had to do all the chasing. Will not go with bacon and co again! Avoid!

Hi Adam and thank you for taking the time to write a review on our services to you as a buyer, we are just of course so sorry that we have left you feeling the way you are. Please be assured from start to finish our only goal was to see you purchase a new home. It was however an awful ending to the transaction, with you and three other parties all let down by one seller who decided not to move, heart-breaking for all concerned. I am sorry you feel we are in part to blame for this, in truth we truly blame the legal process, as if matters had not taken so long this outcome may have been avoided, but we feel we did our job very well by having all links in our chain ready to move within three months. Whilst we managed to overcome a number of hurdles along the way, including a vendor changing their purchase half way through, there was nothing we could do to stop the final seller pulling out on everyone, and believe us we tried. We had three properties in this chain, and if its any comfort to you, this chain falling through will see no charges from us to anyone involved. We understand you may not buy through us again due to the above, which is a shame, but equally we very much wish you every success in re-finding and above all a quick and smooth transaction next time around.
