I came to EweMove at a particularly difficult point in my life. I was going through a painful and expensive separation, needed to move urgently, and finding a new home was proving far from straightforward. I first enquired about one of EweMove's properties and was shown around by the very likeable Paul, who also took the time to show me other properties and offer genuinely useful advice about the area. When I began the application process, things became considerably more complicated. I needed support from the council to secure a tenancy, agreements had to be drawn up, and then there were delays while the council arrangements were sorted out. By that point I was communicating with Georgina, and I really could not have asked for a more pleasant, patient, kind and persistent agent. She liaised directly with the housing officer, kept pushing things along and helped get the whole arrangement over the line. What impressed me even more was that Georgina didn't simply stop once the tenancy had been secured. She knew the area and the people in it exceptionally well, understood that I was essentially starting life again, and pointed me towards work opportunities and sources of support that she thought might help. She checked, double-checked and probably quintuple-checked that everything was working properly in my new home, and continued to check in afterwards to make sure I was settled and comfortable. She also has a remarkable knack for bringing the right people together, and I've ended up with a lovely bunch of neighbours in my building. After the difficulties I'd been through, finding this home felt like finding a sanctuary. I'm very grateful to Georgina and Paul and the lovely people at EweMove for helping make that possible. And in later years, when my children are older and the time eventually comes for my family to move on again and look for our own home, I already know exactly who I'll want helping us with that next chapter.
