We had an absolute nightmare getting hold of Steve after we had left a rented property, through Belvoir. Our landlady had written to Steve to confirm our deposit should be returned in full. Unfortunately, Steve was in no rush to give our money back to us. Countless calls to each of the regional Belvoir offices would either go unanswered, or Steve would be 'Out of the Office'. The exasperation in the receptionist's voice leads me to believe that this is a regular occurrence. Also, our money wasn't left in a Deposit Protection Scheme, as promised. Rather, it was returned via a bank account in Steve's name. Fairly sure this is illegal, in truth.
