Worse agency of town! Stay away! We bought house from them, they didnt put our final offer through we were about to loose the property. We found the owner and passed our offer. It took almost a year to make the exchange! The property came with tenant, they ask us to manage it, we gave them another chance they been very very poor! Tenancy agreement contract date, wrong, we ask the to serve section 21 they made an error its became void. They dont respond to emails, they dont respond the calls. We stop working with them we found they made a different contract with tenants and different contract with us; they allow dog and for that they charged more but they didnt tell us anything. Their repair service is horrible, they charge us £300 boiler service we only find boiler never been serviced! Stay away! Dont sell, buy or rent from these guys!

Only 5 months after servicing my boiler, it went out again on the coldest week of the year. A week later and two separate repairmen’s visits the issue has still not been resolved. Now I’m being told it may be another week before anything will be done. 2 weeks without hot water in the winter is not only unacceptable, it’s breaking the law: The Landlord and Tenant Act of 1985. Whitegates has always been slow in getting maintenance issues seen to but this is beyond the pale. Very unsatisfactory.

Terrible, terrible company. Never use these cowboys, they will rob you. Totally inept and uneducated employees.

As a landlord who paid Whitegates a management fee, I found the service generally substandard. Fees were not transparent and I often felt the agency was representing the tenant rather than the landlord. Communication was sporadic and contradictory. Not to be recommended.

I’m thoroughly disgusted with how I’ve been treated by this company! Will now be resorting to taking them to court as they rented a property to me that has damp that they did not tell me about and are now refusing to release me from the tenancy agreement and giving me my money back! I haven’t even moved into the property. This is the state of the area that has damp and the smell lingers through the property! Their resolution was they wasn’t aware of the issue which is a joke! Trading standards and the property ombudsmen are now involved.

BE AWARE! During my tenancy I did not have any issues and the people I dealt with were very polite and friendly. Once my 12 month tenancy was over and the time came for the return of my deposit I was falsely accused of stealing the curtains and destroying the carpets, which is completely untrue and complete rubbish!

They stole my money! After 11 month I'm still trying to get back my deposit, but they won't answer emails and they ignore me completely! I can't believe that an agency is so unprofessional! Don't get in contact with them!
