AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Was not provided a gas safety certificate from the agency / landlord. Lost both set of keys on the day of moving in so when we arrived at the property, there was a locksmith changing the front / back door locks but refused to change the lock required for home insurance as the agency / landlord had not paid for this. Did not received a welcome pack. Multiple maintenance issues that had taken at least 6 - 8 weeks to just be looked at. Immersion heater blew its self up and the boiler stopped working right in the middle of winter. It took multiple emails and phone calls (which most were ignored) before an engineer even came out to have a look. The excuse given was that it was going to cost the landlord a lot of money. Did not refund any extra electrical costs for additional heating we had to purchase due to having to heating or hot water in the middle of winter. Agents would let them selves into the house without prior notification / permission for viewings and leave dirt from their shoes and personal items misplaced within the house. Tried to deduct a ridiculous amount of money for absolutely ridiculous reasons (I.e. leaves in the back garden) from my deposit until reminded of the very bad service received. Charged me £30 for 4 lightbulbs! The inspection which was conducted upon check out was totally unfair and wrong. Tried to claim we had removed a shed from the back garden even though the landlord had ordered for the shed to be removed. Tried to claim we had damaged and marked walls which were damaged and marked before we moved in! Ridiculous £168 check out fee!! A fee to move out!! Ridiculously high fees charged to move in! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE- youl be left with less than half of your deposit, ignorance and excuses after excuses when trying to get the house you call a home to be fit for living in. We hadn’t missed a single months rent payment. All bills paid on time! But the service received was absolutely shocking. Once they have your money - you’re just another source of income for them. Basic Human rights? They don’t exist where Prospect Estate Agents is concerned.
