The agent dealing with me was snobbish and let himself into our flat instead of waiting outside when we were 5 minutes late for a viewing which they had booked 4 hours previously. Also the landlord sublet in the last week of our tenancy and charged both parties full rent. Do not trust and will never use again.

Absolutely awful to tenants! So lazy, would get away with the bare minimum. Tried to keep all of our deposit. W were living in a house that had trip hazards, stains and terrible old fashioned heating. Not to mention no smoke alarms to begin with. The treated us like we were idiots. After fighting for our deposit we were successful.

Haphazard response to issues such as unusable heating system and homeowner's junk filling shed and closet. Owner's washing machine damaged clothes: no recompense. Unhappiness started with sarcasm in May re: how to turn on (damaging) washer and carried on. Emily has endured barely heated house (one radiator by front door!) all freezing winter. Avoid #MayTreeClose property and perhaps try another Realtor altogether.

This was the first place I've ever rented and the staff were very miserable and unhelpful from start to finish, the internet got installed 3 months after moving in their communication was slow and shockingly bad we had nothing but problems through the whole tenancy. When it came to getting my deposit back they have deducted silly amounts of money for very cheap jobs such as scuff marks on the wall they want £50! for that which I thought was disgraceful. I really do not recommend renting or buying through Martin & Co Winchester

From the minute we signed the tenancy agreement it has been an ardous struggle contacting and having communication with Martin & Co Winchester. My first email communication, involving the calculations of rent, deposit and fees, had to be sent back by me multiple times: the employees could not be bothered to research and correct the right amount of fees properly. I had to bring them up on their mistakes so many times that they did not even bother sending me messages by post anymore. All in all, their communication with us as tenants was atrocious, this is even disregarding their nonchalant approach to never proofread their own work and expecting us to do their job for them. It's sad that they can get away with copying and pasting every piece of correspondence and have such a lazy attitude to their business.
