As a professional person and a prospective tenant, I have to say I am shocked at how poor the customer service and how utterly 'inane' the "company policies" are. I currently reside in London and called to ask for a viewing which would be conducted by a family member. The west-end drawling women told me that it was 'company policy' not to permit third parties to view on behalf of tenants and that this was because holding deposits had been paid and then tried to be withdrawn. This woman clearly doesn't understand that holding deposits are usually non-refundable, so if the actual prospective tenant withdrew, then they wouldn't get their money back and Clyde properties would be quids in. However, there is no use explaining this to them - the are straight-forward 'computer says no'. Why would you rent from these people, when they have every excuse available at their disposal that they can dress up as 'Company Policy'. If you are a tenant, avoid this company at all costs. If you are a landlord, I would also avoid as these agents make you miss out on good, credit-solid, professional tenants. Awful agents.
