Worst letting agent I've dealt with: house had dirty carpets when we moved in (during covid) and we were told that we could either clean the carpet ourselves or leave it in the same state when we left! They have taken 4 weeks and counting to fix our boiler after having told us there was nothing wrong with it when we reported it, three months to fix a wood burning stove..never follow up, no urgency, always us chasing them for dates that aren't met... Very poor at managing our admittedly awful and cheap landlord

Awful management company, very aggressive and sneaky - wouldn't recommend to anyone. First time renting and it has has been a terrible experience. We were 1 week in arrears ONCE due to a job change and M&Co staff came round banging on the windows and doors, they lied about the landlady wanting to sell and also constantly tried to come round for short notice visits and inspections, never giving us any peace. Constantly harassing us with calls, voicemails and emails.

Avoid! Artificially stagnating the market and creating bottlenecks to prevent genuine buyers looking at properties. Unless you are a 1st time buyer or a cash buyer expect to have sold your house and be living on the street before you can even view a property.

Disgusting service. They put the landlords first and not their tenants. Put us through so much stress throughout lockdown and shoved us outside to make a formal complaint. Do not recommend at all - we made sure we bought our current house through a different estate agent.

These agents are about the slimiest, most devious to be encountered. You ask for a viewing of a property and they try to draw you into a process of financial disclosure before anything goes anywhere. After giving my details to Martin and co, surprise, surprise an attempt was made to withdraw some!!! Could have been a coincidence!!! Be very wary

Dealing with the lettings department made me feel like they were doing me a favour. On the two occasions I made contact with their office, both members of staff were very rude and at no point asked me what I was looking for. I couldn't believe it when they asked me about my credit rating before anything else, people rent for a number of reasons and they should not be so presumptious. Treating people in the rental market like second rate citizens is not the way forward. Following this I went to paxtons estate agents and they could not be more helpful.

Definitely can't recommend this place, unbelievable how they treated me, started making opinions on boundary, saying that land from all maps isn't mine. I have asked if they have permission from owner( house next to me is rented by them) to deal with this problem, but they didn't have it, I have asked so many times if their tennant can move his car, nothing for months. one lady came out taking photos when I was cutting my hedge down because in their opinion both maps were wrong and hedge I'm cutting is boundary... Instead helping out with situation they made it worst. Then when it came to the end after months I couldn't get my contractor to do my drive, and I was doing it evenings, digging with shovel, with lights on as summer that it should be done was over. Thanks a lot for all the trouble, stress and wasted time. I would like to let you all know that when I was buying house it was going through Martin & Co, so I was their customer, but they decide to treat me the way they did, and tried to get my land for their other customer, how am I different to that bloke? I don't know. No apologies, nothing. Rude, unprofessional, unbelievable. Be careful people.
