Sadly, when you all vacated, the independent inventory company reported significant damage to the property upon checkout compared to when you first took possession of the house. Deductions were proposed to you all by Cameron and you collectively decided not to refer the matter for independent adjudication to the TDS. You all confirmed in writing that you accepted all the proposed deductions, and the majority of your deposit was returned equally to the three of you. Cameron cannot, and would not, ever make any deductions from tenants deposits without the express written authority to do so from all tenants. The right to independent adjudication is always available to tenants in the event of dispute, which on this occasion was not an avenue you choose to explore.
