You failed to pay your last month’s rent and requested that the monies due were deducted from your security deposit. In addition you damaged the property by leaving various marks, burns and stains throughout. The property was also left by you in a very dirty condition and had to be professionally cleaned before new tenants could take possession The overall proposed deductions due to the damage and your rent arrears were in fact greater than your deposit, potentially leaving the landlord out of pocket.
