EDIT: in reply to Cameron Estate Agents whom kindly took a break from counting money to reply to me. Nothing malicious here, just the truth. You may not have me on record but I am very close to an ex tenant of yours and have seen first hand your 'work'. It's moving day! You are excited to move into your new place. How does Cameron make this exciting time special? They turn up late and throw the keys at you because they are showing other unfortunate people around a different property because you know, time is money. Upon entering your exciting property you realise the place isn't all that clean but you're not petty and happy to move in. It's time to move on after a decent stay (decent because nothing went wrong, heaven forbid if it did because Cameron only operate when money is involved). You clean up, pack your things and off you go. And then the fun starts. You want your deposit back. And why shouldn't you get it back? It's your money, the place is clean and damage free. But this is Cameron you're dealing with. PLEASE READ IF YOU EVER MAKE THE FOOLISH DECISION TO USE CAMERON ESTATE AGENTS. Amongst other utterly ridiculous things... A door mat was left behind in the flat out of kindness. It even had 'welcome' written on it. A nice gesture to welcome the next tenants. Now this isn't deemed necessary by the 'professional' cleaning team that Cameron use. Ok fair enough, not wanted. Now how much money does it cost to pick up a door mat and dispose of it in a bin situated a few metres from the front door? Surely nothing? I'm afraid you're wrong. It's £10. £10 to pick up a door mat and put it in the bin. I'm considering switching careers to disposing door mats. You can imagine the cost of unnecessary cleaning that was deemed essential by the 'professional' cleaning contractors commisssoned by Cameron. If you dispute this with Cameron they just cite the tenancy agreement blah blah blah. Instead of saying "yeah to be honest, if I hired a cleaner that charged £60 to clean 2 already clean bathrooms, I'd be outraged and wouldn't hire them". But this is Cameron. £20 to hoover a carpet! What until you see the cleaning breakdown when you exit your property! If you've never been mugged, now is the time! Food, water and accomodation are basic human needs. It's a shame one of these needs is dealt with by people who have no problem extorting hard working people out of their money. It's enough they extort entrance and exit money out of you. And what's that for by the way? Admin fees? Contracts? Couple of hours work? Hundreds of pounds to you. Oh and the complaints! I've never laughed so much! The complaints procedure! And whom would any poor person complain to? Cameron themselves? Have your bank card handy because they will only act if money is involved. You should all be ashamed of yourselves and be honest, you wouldn't put up with being treated this way so why are you doing it to others? When you vacate a property you are left with sizable cleaning bills, even though you have thoroughly cleaned the property. Unprofessional throughout tenancy but won't answer to anyone because you've signed on the dotted line. No wonder they are all wearing expensive suits and driving Audi's, it's because they extort many people who simply need a basic human necessity of a roof over their heads. As if you haven't had to pay out enough already, Cameron will ensure they squeeze you for every penny you have because a rolex isn't going to pay for itself now is it. Avoid like the plague.
