If Emma is the example of DB Roberts Estate Agent support I certainly will never use this company in the future and I will ensure that I pass on my dissatisfaction with her approach and support to the higher end of the chain with all friends, family and work colleagues. Although I appreciate that I am not DB Roberts direct client, Emma from the start has not responded to my calls and been dismissive and rude whenever I have actually spoken to her. Rebecca normally answers the phone and is very polite and helpful in chasing the solicitors. Emma's response is "I have phoned them, what more do you want me to do" - my answer would be to find out exactly why contracts have not been exchanged with a day left until completion. It is selfish and does not support people higher up in the chain when removals companies need to be acquired etc. Purplebricks on the other hand (my estate agents) have done everything in their power to chase up the bottom of the chain, but can only deal with DB Roberts. I was eventually told to "stop phoning as I am not their client." Update: Thank you for your response although it does not mention the rude way in which I was spoken to by Emma during our phone calls. With regard to your comment regarding Purplebricks not returning call I refute this accusation as they consistently phoned you whilst I was on the phone to them and were rebuffed numerous times.

Hello Andrew. I am really sorry you feel we were unhelpful in this transaction. I've reviewed the notes and can see that we spoke with you many times during the process. The rules around Data Protection are very clear and it is important we never disclose personal details relating to our client and their transaction. As you state, you did not instruct DB Roberts in the sale of your property and despite the fact we did provide you with general updates when you called us, it appears to be the non specific nature of our communication that caused you issue. I see your reference to how helpful your agent has been - however it's disappointing they never spoke to us - or returned our calls... seemingly leaving this for you to do? Pleasingly for all parties, the transaction did indeed exchange within the time-frame confirmed to you - and we sincerely wish you a very Merry Christmas and fabulous New Year in 2019.
