my sister in law recently rented a property with her 2 year old son via Martin and Co. She moved all of her belongings to the property, when she returned the next day to unpack her items she found the property had a major water leak, the ceiling had caved in (thankfully they didn’t stay in the property that night) and all of the belongings had been ruined.The estate agents have dealt with this with no empathy at all, all they have tried to do is protect there client (who is a doctor with multiple properties). Whilst a single mum with a 2 year old has been left homeless a month before Christmas in the middle of a pandemic. I am disgusted that after after the year we have been through and that we have all tried to look after each other this is how humans have acted. Just a typical estate agent desperate for a fee and a money hungry landlord not wanting to take responsibility.Do not trust this agent.

People shouldn’t be fooled by the glowing reviews written by the staff at Martin and Co. It is a damning indictment of the non-regulation of internet platforms that the craven crew of Martin and Co wallowing, as they are, at the bottom of Uckfield High Street, should be able to fill the vacuum of applause for their lamentable efforts in the real world, by trying to pass themselves off as ‘achievers’ in the flimsy sphere of the internet fake review. Make no mistake, the Martin and Co firm, led by the invertebrate slime mould that is Graham Pope, are a band of consummate liars and charlatans, that you would be best served avoiding with the same enthusiasm that Josef Mengele swerved the Nuremberg Trials.

I would also give a 0 if I could. I had to take my case against them to the property Ombudsman to get satisfaction.

If I could give Martin and Co 0 stars I would! Absolutely shocking customer service. I have been ignored, lied to and called a liar myself - to mention just a few things! Left in a leaking, mouldy and unsafe home for 2 years ... Until environmental health got involved - and even then it took months! They stated it was the worst they had seen! Disgusting! Graham seems unable to answer the phone or reply to emails when his incompetence is brought to light! - completely useless!

Absolutely the worst Person in business I have ever dealt with. Graham Pope. This man owes us just under £400. He knows that we have 2 children and a baby on the way and cannot afford to just 'give away' that kind of money for nothing. Yes NOTHING!! He lied to us about how much the rent would be. When he confessed it would be more than he said (hiding behind his poor colleague) we then said we cant rent this property as we cant afford the new price he has conjured up, and he refused to give us our deposit and references back, being incredibly rude and unprofessional down the phone to my husband. This was after he lied about the previous property we wanted and signed up to, having had 'no chain' then it amazingly fell through as the person they were buying from pulled out and we were 2 weeks away from being homeless! His colleague agreed with US that he was being awful and told us she was utterly embarrassed with his behaviour. We will not stop until we have our very hard earned money back, while he is sauntering around in his new suits and with his Waitrose shopping. Absolute crook! We will be Tweeting, Facebooking, and going to local newspapers. Everything it takes until we get ALL of OUR money back. THIEF!!! The word 'angry' doesn't cut it!!

terrible service took £395 no refund kept saying they couldn't get hold of our accountant and lied to us for 3 weeks when the accountant had given them everything and then they re posted the property SCAMMING ROBBING B****** p.s we have now found a property with another company and all went through within a week
