As landlords, we have used the services of several agents over the past 11 years and, for various reasons, have ended up managing the property ourselves despite paying for a fully managed service. From the outset, we sensed that the Twickenham Branch of Martin & Co was different. Our main contact, after settling terms with the branch manager, has been Shelly, in charge of lettings. We could hardly believe the difference. She not only promised to do things, she actually did them. This was particularly important as we live 90 miles from the property. She conscientiously vetted potential tenants, arranged viewings and negotiated an acceptable rent. In addition, she recommended a contactor for carpets and redecoration works, liaised with them, and made all necessary arrangements, all the while keeping us well informed.
