Landlords stay away from this estate agent, they are just after your money,don’t be fooled by their awards!! I contacted Richard James last year to look for a tenant and manage the property for me , they did a very bad job right from the start. Checks wasn’t done properly on the tenant , in the end he wasn’t paying his rent and he had to be evicted. They didn’t check up on the tenant on a regular basis as they promised. As a result the house was left in a very bad state. When it comes to maintenance and repairs, their contractors charge double what you would normally pay to get a job done by a regular handyman. When we try to contact the General manager Alex Hornby to express our concerns, he simply replied that this is not his job, we are taking to the wrong person, what sort of general manager is that !The finance department, needless to say, they are there to make money out of you , not to help you make money on your rental property!
