After numerous calls nobody replied to me. I wanted to put a deposit down for a property that I liked, but was ignored. The staff in the agency were very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with , I felt judged and discriminated.I’m quite shocked tbh. I must’ve seen 3 properties with this agency.. avoid and take your business elsewhere.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Very disappointed with the service, my and my wife had viewing property in Conley Heath, we decided to take the property on the spot and we let the agent know that we would like to pay the holding deposit straight way so that he can cancel the other viewing. He was hesitant and continued with other viewing which was shocking. I contacted him several times about the property, eventually our offer was declined without giving any reason. Agent mentioned on his email there wasn't any specific reason. Me and my wife earn over 40k per annum, paying £795 rent isn't an issue for us. If you picky about who you are going to rent the property please don't give us viewing appointment and waste our time. I would give them zero rating for not treating us fairly

Naturally disappointed to read your comments Asif. We had 4 viewings one after each other on the same afternoon and we couldn't cancel a viewing last minute, as that would be unfair on those tenants who had made the effort to visit the property. Plus another of the tenants expressed interest so to ensure we were fair to all tenants, as well as the landlord, we put all offers through to him for consideration. Unfortunately your application was not successful in this instance. Whilst I appreciate this wasn't the outcome you would have liked, I'm sure you appreciate we think it's only right to be fair to all involved. We rented a property in Frogmore from Northwood from July 2013 - July 14. They could not read inventories nor could they understand contracts. In one of their inspections we were told that we had too many belongings for them to inspect the house. We were also criticised for staining the work surfaces in the kitchens. The stains in question were on the wooden boards I own and which were out in the kitchen sides. They would not retract their statements even when sent evidence of these boards. Our landlady decided that she wanted to move back in before the end of our contract and we had to explain to the agent that this was not possible due to the terms upon which all parties had agreed. The landlady entered without permission or with mere minutes notice, caused damage when she was in the property which she then tried to pin on us as tenants and caused undue stress and upset. After endless 'phone calls and emails we had a meeting with the manager of the company to try and placate us. We were mollified for a short while, however the further actions of the company showed how they really considered their tenants. When it came to handing the property back, we had vacated a week before the end of the contract. I arrived at the property half an hour before the arranged 'checkout time' to find the agent had entered the property without permission. We still had possession of the house and therefore he either needed our permission to enter in our absence or had to wait for us to arrive. After leaving the property we had countless emails from the manager of the branch ensuring us that they had contacted the water, gas and electricity boards to inform them of our move and that it was their responsibility to do so. After several weeks of waiting for a final bill I contacted the manager again and again received confirmation that these companies had been contacted. Two months on I contacted the boards myself to be informed that they had received partial information from Northwood and that we were in fact owed a total of £500 between the various companies due to over payment of bills thanks to the lack of information having been given by the rental company. We also had to continuously call the company to receive payment of our refunded deposit. The entire process of our rental with Northwood was traumatic and unpleasant and my wife was made physically ill by the process. We are now sincerely angered by the experience and would advise anyone considering using this agency to avoid them at all costs.

Shocking experience. Arrogant and unhelpful staff. When I called to inquiry about a 2 bedroom property to rent I was told the landlord doesn't allow smokers. I am a non smoker myself, however my friend who is looking to share the property is seeking help from NHS to quit smoking. I was guilty of being honest to the staff about my friend's smoking habit. I asked him to speak to the landlord then let me know if he would be willing to rent the property to us on the basis that my friend won't be smoking. The staff I was speaking to was not interested in listening to me at all. Instead he kept repeating himself like a robot and was quick to discriminate and judge my friend. Not impressed. Won't be using this property agent at all. Stay away!

As an agent it is our role to understand our landlord’s requirements and to know whether a smoker is allowed in a particular property. I’m sure you would prefer us to let you know there and then, rather than waste your time.
