We had a smooth process and everything was very timely, so that is a positive. The team we had the pleasure of meeting were all super friendly and helpful - Ethan in particular! Unfortunately, our property manager, Max, brings an unpleasant attitude, is defensive when asked about things that he has missed/messed up on, doesn't know how to communicate effectively and generally has quite a rude and arrogant tone. I can't fathom people working in a service role who make every interaction seem like a chore or inconvenience to them - especially when they are being asked bare minimum (i.e. to update tenants on maintenance progress). I did try to speak to his manager, Seth, who also pretty much disregarded what I had said about our experience, hopefully a public review will urge them to address the issues.

Georgina Barnes was very helpful, but the move in wasn't great if I'm honest. I moved into a dirty room, with flies on the windowsill, dust all over, stains in the toilet and a mattress and bed that must be 15+ years old and is completely knackered! On complaining about the state of the furniture in the room, their reply was 'Well you've letted it as seen'. I'm sorry, but I don't know many people who will try out a bed on looking around a room. I then told them I have a bed myself and would like to swap it, to which the response was 'well you have to get rid of it yourself now'. Fantastic. I've got rid of the bed, but have had to use the same mattress for a couple of days. It's been severely itchy and I've now got a rash on my back/chest from it. The maintenance and upkeep of these shared houses, managed under CJ Hole are disgusting. It really does show why a Landlord should take charge of their own properties, as it reflects badly on them. I'm happy at least that the housemates are great and that after a bit of TLC and a new mattress, I'll be happy. I won't be using them again after this tenancy.

I was shocked with the service that I received from CJ Hole. We paid our deposit waited for a week to be told that we had lost the house and the landlord didn't want to deal with CJ Hole. I can not tell you how much of a waste of space this company is, if you read this review no matter how nice/cheap/perfect the house is do not go with this company they don't deserve it for there complete lack of ability to do the job that they claim their company does. Avoid at all costs.

CJ Hole nearly made us homeless after taking our holding fee without having the house secured or actually on their books! They took our money and did not send us any contracts so we repeatedly rang them requesting them. They repeatedly told us they would send them right away. Three days later we demanded the contracts to which they replied they had only a verbal confirmation from the landlord which then turned into no confirmation because the landlord no longer wanted to deal with them! If we did not contact CJ Hole they may have left it for days, with our money in their bank, wasting precious time as we needed to move in two weeks. Awesome work guys!

Avoid this estate agent if possible and I wasn't even their customer, I have to give 1 star to simply get my point across They were the estate agent handling a property in our chain and similar to the solicitors dealing with the property they were on par with lacking communication skills. As the transaction was ongoing we were reaching out to our estate agent to get updates as we knew this part of the chain was the only outstanding party as the rest of the chain was complete and ready to move. Multiple emails and phone calls with our estate agent to get the following back "no responses from emails and constantly ringing though and going to voicemail with no replies." This had gone on for multiple weeks with no responses at all, by this time mortgage offers throughout the chain were coming to expiring and needed to get a tangible update. A voicemail was subsequently left by our estate agent emphasising the urgency to get an update with the information given. After this they did get a response,not to provide any update to the chain but simply to state they weren't happy with the manner of the voicemail being left. Not to provide an update to the sales but a review of the voicemail itself. After all this we still hear nothing from them, the reason for this turns out to be that the original person dealing with the sale left the company, their replacement left the company also shortly after and the transaction was left with the area director, all of which failed to respond to any communications nor update us that could be delays due to handing over of the sale. All of this in itself is shocking behaviour, no disregard for the fact that there were multiple parties in the chain at a point where the whole chain could fall through due to lack of timely responses. The only good thing to come from this was that we no longer have to deal with this estate agent as the chain collapsed and no longer have the stresses of the lack of any updates from them and now moved onto an estate agent that has competency and understands the nature of timely responses and customer satisfaction.
