Sainsbury's used to be very British in every respect. Then sensibly market-wise they decided to cater for the local foreign market as well. Unfortunately, this store has just had a big revamp to cater for the growing foreign university students community. Who in reality are there for a short period throughout the year. This has been done to compete against the local foreign specialist food stores, to the detriment of the permanent local residents. So like many others my custom has moved elsewhere 🙃

July 2025: Another price increase 📈 on the daily things I buy. It’s getting ridiculous. And the new isle changes are confusing everyone. Also, not a single English wine available that has could see. I’m sure we make the stuff. August 2024. It’s been a long time since my last review. More than a year so, I think it’s time to update it. There have been some changes to the entrance due to the increase in thefts. Just a new barrier when you enter and leave. Prices are still higher (everywhere) than in previous years but we all know the reasons for this. The other thing that is slightly annoying is the speed ramp at the car park entrance. It seems too high even when you slow down to a crawl. Not good for the car suspension! Everything else is as you’d expect from a supermarket.
