No one on the checkout lanes - went there at 8am on a Tuesday. I just plonked it all on the 1st checkout and eventually someone came to bleep it through. Seemed like I wasn't wanted? Like they didn't really want to manually scan my £80 shopping. Not sure they, the shop workers realised they have AI more advance than the human brain, robotics more agile than the human body and so, by using the checkout I'm hoping I can starve of redundancy for them. Also keep paying in cash, once CBDCs come in no cash, no freedom. But the opposite in Iceland - no self checkouts, actual real humans wanting your custom.
