Still a solid, dependable supermarket—but it’s definitely lost a bit of its ease. The self service tills have become more problematic with scanning and bagging. Having to wait for a member of staff to reset the machine is very frustrating. Prices keep edging up, which you expect nowadays, but it’s noticeable on the regular shop. The layout changes haven’t helped either—simple things feel harder to find than they should. The new entrance barriers are understandable with the rise in theft, but they do take away from the relaxed feel it used to have. Car park is fine, but that entrance speed ramp is still far too harsh. Even creeping over it doesn’t feel right—definitely not suspension-friendly. On the upside, shelves are usually well stocked and it remains convenient. It does the job—but it’s no longer as effortless as it once was.
