At last ! An agent to have faith in After having our house on the market with Winkworth for about four months, with only a handful of viewings and little feedback on those we did have (that we had to chase up ourselves), they finally stumbled upon a sale.We are purchasing a new build through them which we were told initially would be ready September/October and they had recommended our house go on the market in March.Our buyers also had a property to sell, which apparently sold very quickly.We were very anxious regarding timings but were told that it would fall nicely as the new house would now be November. Time passed with no sign of the house being even started, when we had a chance phone call from the developer. It became apparent that our new house was never due to be ready this year. Our buyer pulled out. We then did what we should have done originally - contact Rachel Childs at Ewemove. We had seen our neighbours' house go on the market and sell almost immediately with Rachel's branch of Ewemove. Rachel came round to our property and explained how she had come up with her valuation, and provided detailed reports backing this up. Far better than a detail sheet of a similar house being dropped on your table with a "that's what your house is worth". We discussed market conditions and agreed an asking price, and Rachel took a great set of photos to which she added a very inviting description of our home. The property was "launched" on to the market, and almost immediately we had a viewing. In fact, Rachel called us at 8:45 pm to say she had just come off the phone to somebody who wanted to view the next day. We would not be in but no problem - she had a key and besides, she prefers to carry out accompanied viewings as she can report back with immediate feedback. Again, this is poles apart from an agent who could not arrange a 7pm viewing on an evening we were out because "we don't work late and there's no-one to do it". These people were not quite in a position to proceed but Rachel quickly found another potential buyer, who again was shown round whilst we were not in. The result is our house has now sold, within a week of being marketed, and we're sure if this person had not bought it would not have taken Rachel very long at all to find us a sale. We cannot express how delighted we are with the whole process and the excellent level of service Rachel has provided: professional, dedicated, courteous and perhaps above all completely trustworthy. As many people have said, an agent that is a breath of fresh air and certainly head and shoulders above other estate agents in town.

Rachel Childs of Ewemove (South Grantham) is exceptional at what she does, a credit to the often stereotyped and occasional estate agents that many have come to loathe. She is truly professional and never is anything an issue that she cannot resolve. Prompt at communication, willing to go the extra mile to facilitate the sale of your property be it, taking calls and viewings outside of normal working hours or indeed assisting when questions may arise from buyers or sellers alike.
