Wouldn’t recommend belvoir if they were the last estate agents on the planet. Rented with them September 2020 to june 2022. Paid rent on time every single month. Throughout this whole period it was a nightmare. When things needed to be fixed in the property for example the lounge window and the kitchen sink, and I sent multiple emails stating this I was ignored. I first reported an issue with my living room window in August 2021, the issue was due with it not shutting properly and the fact it would make the whole apartment cold and my electricity bill was through the roof. Not to mention, the issue also affected my health in the colder months. From August 2021 to june 2022( when I moved out) I was told lies, I was always the one that had to reach out and demand an honest answer on when it would be fixed, which they never gave me and to this day it’s still not fixed. All they did was lie to me and say ‘I’ll chase it up’ but never did & never got back to me. May add that it’s also a breach of my tenancy contract to not conduct repairs. All this hassle for 9 months all because they don’t have the decency to be honest with a good tenant and tell me that they don’t want to fix it because of the cost. If I had to estimate how many times I mentioned the window issue to belvoir, it would be around 30. Clearly they just put this issue off for 9 months and I was way too nice about it. I should of taken legal action. When I phoned belvoir to explain yet again about the window problem I explained to the man on the phone how the mould was very fast growing because of the cold/rain coming in during the winter months and how this is affecting my health. The first thing he said to me was ‘ make sure you wipe the mould away so it doesn’t ruin the paintwork’ just shows how insensitive and rude these people are especially Kevin. My top priority is my health not some paintwork that could easily be painted over later on. Recently, when I explained to belvoir how a family member had passed away and I’m the only person that lives in the same country as them so I had no choice to look after her pets until I find them a permanent home. I was met with a rude and insensitive response from no other than Kevin who yet again lied to me saying pets aren’t allowed in the building when in fact there’s multiple dogs & cats in the building. What did you expect me to do? To throw the cat and dog on the street and hope for the best? Odd how they speak and lie about things they know nothing about. It’s very upsetting how I have to move out of an apartment I really like all because they’re incapable of doing repairs and think it’s morally okay to lie to a tenant. These people are absolutely shocking and never in my life have I ever come across people with no human decency like themselves. I also think it speaks for itself on what type of people belvoir are for the fact themselves & the landlord have decided it’s morally okay to rent out the property to another tenant when there is an extremely broken window. And most likely have not made the new tenant aware of this. Therefore, they are going to endure everything I have. Terrible, scummy people.
