Country Properties we successful in supporting us with our purchase. The beginning of the process was great with the estate agent being very honest and helpful. Overall, we had a very quick purchase process of just 8 weeks however, towards the later stages, the sales progressor was very pushy and threatened to pull the sale should we not have organised an early exchange/completion date. Moreover, we were limited to the number of viewings at the property and were unable to organise for our architect to conduct his drawings prior to our exchange. The sales progressor was then very abrupt with our solicitor and asked to speak to his supervisor on two separate occasions despite him doing a fantastic job. In future, I would hope they could take a bit more time to respect the overall time scales we were working to.

Had awful experience with Sophie Wesley. Be aware while renting, she keep ignoring our emails and phone calls after our end of tenancy. We spent£500 on professional cleaning and sent her the certificate but she Caused us so much stressed, in the end DPS mentioned she was trying to do a "betterment". I had to liaise with her manager Irma Bucci to get any sort of reply. Awful and stressful experience... This is the reply for ur comment below : The property it self is very poorly isolated and we as a family living with a child, how could we not heat properly... As you say if u still have all the communication, please have a look at the email that i sent on 7th of Sep 2021, that's 1 week after we moved in, where i was mentionning about Chilopoda infestation... Its not tenant responsible to sort out stuctural issue with the buildings. Also our end of tenancy cleaning company had an aftercare option which we took and even sent emails to Sophie to contact them, SHE IGNORED. Finally, even with DPS she didn't reply on time and we had to go through a lawyer to get in touch with her.... You know how renting property is hard to find and unscrupulous people like Sophie Wesley support these horrible landloard and take our hard earned money to "betterment" the old broken property. Thank you for helping us to see the dark side

The business is jointly owned by Irma and Sophie and we have records of email communications between Sophie and yourself as well as phone records with other staff members giving you updates. Unfortunately, the landlord was extremely disappointed with how you left the property and the check out report reflected this. Numerous areas of the property had deterioration due to mould and damp through a lack of heating and ventilation, as well as the garden being unkempt. These issues were highlighted to you during your routine property visits throughout the tenancy by the staff members conducting them. As Sophie could not reach an agreement between the landlord and you, it was put to the DPS for them to act in arbitration and allow the decision to become final from an impartial provider.

Stay away from this people. They do not care about you, and your deposit is at risk. I haven’t got mine for months.

we have been ignored after our tenancy finished, no feed back from exit check over, slow to even start process of returning £1900 deposit, still not received any feed back after 22 days of having completed check out. Disgraceful attitude, I have had to chase and chase and still no messages back. I had to start the process with the company used to hold the deposit but this takes a month before they pay it out. I would never rent through this agency. Very slow to get issues resolved in the flat to a point we had to with hold rent to get repairs carried out and start a process of complaints against the agency. We had enough and now purchased a property and would never go back to renting through this agency. Michael Struebel

Your check out was conducted and you have been informed on more than one occasion that we are awaiting the landlord to agree release of your deposit. The landlord has to also be happy with how you have left a property before the deposit will be released. The office has been closed for the last 5 days over the Christmas period. All maintenance issues in the property have been dealt with throughout your tenancy and all emergency issues dealt with as promptly as possible. Should you remain unhappy with the response, please use the customer complaints procedure.

My Parents phoned to enquire about a rental. Found them to be unhelpful and condescending. Found other agents in the local area to be better and more professional. 1) my parents didn’t visit they phoned 2) information was given in a condescending rude tone. 3) I was in the room when you spoke to my girlfriend (the daughter) 4) you had the opportunity to apologise when my girlfriend contacted you to say they were not happy with the way they were spoken too. As far as we are concerned this was your opportunity to put things right. Many other agents they can use where they will get a better service and not have to pay 6 months rent upfront.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am letting a property with Country Properties and have received abysmal service from the outset. Staff members have left and their emails gone unanswered, emails are ignored for weeks and even months with no apology or acknowledgement and their service has been absolutely dreadful throughout. I have made numerous formal complaints yet little has changed and their solution was for me to email three staff members every time I needed to contact them as this might lead to a faster reply (it hasn’t). When I have raised problems with their service this has been argued against far more often than it has been acknowledged and corrected. Country Properties may be excellent for buying/selling a property but would absolutely not recommend to anyone looking to let or rent.

Not supportive. Unhelpful. Promising to call back but doesn't. Having to take legal advice for all the severe stress caused. Evidently they dont give deposits back very often others having to take legal action. DO NOT RENT THROUGH COUNTRY PROPERTIES
