I was amazed how bad is Thirdfort. I was stuck in a loop taking repeated pictures of my up-to-date NFC equipped passport that yielded an error but no error number/ID. There was no escape option, even though the app promises an alternative approach. When? A count down would be useful. 'Technical issues' generally means that some script kiddy has not done his/her CS 101 homework. Eventually I went back and tried the no-passport route. I sent a photo of my passport (sic), a selfie and recorded a short video. This wasted a lot of time - much more than 5 minutes, more like an hour including having no utility bills less than 3 months old (it is February) so eventually used a recent bank statement pdf just to link me to my address. I don't like broadcasting our financial details - they are none of anyone's business. Not good.
