Gets you a sale (star for that only) but terrible with sales progression. I was told no issues to exchange by end of the week. Then it's impossible to exchange Friday will be done on Monday. Then Monday comes around oh your buyer hasn't transferred their deposit funds and her mortgage has a problem because the AML checks were not completed (basic fundamentals not checked at offer stage or asked when they reassured they saw no issues with exchange originally). I get Normie are not a solicitor.. but I'd expect basic questions to be asked. I was an excellent buyer when I worked with them previously extremely organised and Ocean were excellent solicitors (we exchanged 8 days before completion). This time false assurance and being asked to take the risk of booking a removal company with no idea if exchange really can take place Tuesday. This time around it is clear Normie are not the MVP when it comes to sales progression. It was my previous solicitor. If you know the conveyancing process and you are a buyer and you have the time to consistently chase Normie and ask you'll be great. If your mid chain and busy and dont have the time to chase the process of purchase and sale... It will be painful and emotionally distressing!! Another example they accepted the offer with a solicitors office listed that was permanently closed..where was the due diligence from the start!
Horrible manipulative and aggressive agents ever!
AVOID! Decided to go with Normie due to their “reputation’ but have been very disappointed with their service throughout. Initially gave our property to Normie as Nigel was very pleasant and seemed confident that he could sell our property at the initial visit but his demeanour changed after signing the contract. Nigel took photos of the house at the end of the day and it was quite clear he was rushing and the photos were taken in less than 10 minutes. After gaining a second opinion from another estate agent they said that these were the poorest photos that they’ve ever seen from Normie. There was no communication from Normie following months of the house being on sale to discuss price deduction or alternative marketing techniques and it was ourselves who had to contact Normie to suggest this. Normie are the professionals and if they did not feel as though they could sell the house at the agreed price then they should have not taken on the property. There were multiple times that Normie cancelled viewings without prior notice leading to massive inconveniences on the day. We were even told by a sales agent in front of a potential buyer ‘I’ve never been to this property before, I’d like to be shown around’ which we found to be very unprofessional. When my husband expressed his concerns regarding lack of communication and unprofessionalism, Josh the office manager was not apologetic and wanted to put the blame on us. Please avoid at all costs and go with a company that can offer their time and effort which Normie do not have the ability to do.
Absolutely worst agents I've ever had to deal with. Rude as hell with hostile tones to communication, lacking any sense of Customer Service towards tenants and they make you feel like you're always wrong and will judge you. Also had to deal with asthma and black mould so due to structural water/cold wall damage blocked in by a built in wardrobe, confirmed by two damp surveyors and was made out to be our fault and judged and ignored. We also got professional cleaners in to do the flat when we moved out and judged for how we left it (absolutely the same and spotless as we moved it) and 'tried' to take deposit off us for no reason. There are A LOT more horrible experiences I can share during my time 5 years with Normie acting as Landlord for our apartment. But my advice would be, please always dispute your rights as tenants against this company if they try to do anything against you or do not listen. Because trust me they will treat you like nothing and try to do everything they can against your favour and act nasty while doing it too. Avoid!! (Edit: Even Normies reply is on brand for what we are describing in our review 😅)

Rubbish service
Rubbish service
Called up to enquire about a house to view and the estate agent was very rude. Never experienced someone so hostile from the get go. Bad service and won’t be using their services in the future!
Rude on the phone and long form to fill in just to view a rental. The said it had a lot of interest yet weeks later still advertised. No thanks
