Lucy Cratchley acted as the sales progressor in the sale of a 10th floor penthouse apartment that we inherited when our uncle passed away in 2022. The sale was delayed initially due to probate and requiring a lease extension and complicated further as it then took place during the period when the new Building Safety Regulations were being introduced following Grenfell, the requirements of which were still not clearly understood by the solicitors involved in the conveyancing process let alone Estate Agencies. Lucy was very proactive in dealing with prospective buyer's solicitors, our own solicitors and in seeking to understand all the legal requirements of the new Act so as to keep the sale on-track and constantly kept us appraised of progress, issues to be resolved, potential solutions, etc. Left to the solicitors undertaking the conveyancing process, the sale would not have been completed as efficiently, certainly not within the same timescales and potentially, might not even have progressed to completion at all.
