As an agent we are not in favour of gazumping, but as we act for our vendors, we have to follow their instructions. If we were to receive an offer, whether an accepted offer has been agreed prior, we legally have to forward this to our vendor, who makes the final decision to accept or not. With regards to the wood rot in the attic, as an agent we would not conceal anything that we are aware of and as for wood rot, this is what a surveyor is instructed for as we are not trained in damp, timbers and structures and rely on the vendors awareness of their own property.
