Lucky to get 1 star if I’m totally honest. We were told when viewing the house that the log fire was all good to use. Had a problem with the log burner guy who cleans the chimney in getting one of the plates off in the log burner to then be told by Northwood that it’s only for display only. Strange. No idea who does the 6 month inspection but no communication between them or Northwood. Kept pointing out ripped wallpaper which was already ripped before we moved in or peeling off. When moved in there was dog hair in and around the radiator in the kitchen and was also not cleaned properly. They claimed that no dogs have lived there yet when we viewed the house they was dog food and dog bed in the cupboard under the stairs which the viewing officer saw but they later denied it when we brought it up when moved it. Had to bring in a professional cleaner. Apparently it was professional cleaned. Don’t know who by but probably someone with bad eyesight. When moving out we cleaned and hoovered the house in a better state than when we moved in. We forgot to clean on top of one of the lights which had minimal dust on it anyway and the dust which came down the chimney after we left. Tried charging us £200 for a professional cleaner to come in and clean. Easiest £200 they made as it was spotless. Even the owners couldn’t believe how clean it was on the same day that we officially moved out. We also took down the worktop when we moved in as it was only screwed to the wall with no legs in the downstairs toilet as we had a three year old which we didn’t want the work top to collapse and injury him. We didn’t screw it back as we didn’t want to break any of the wall tiles or the worktop itself. Tried charging us £100+ for a leg and fitting which never had one to begin with. Luckily we had the inventory from when we moved it. Obviously they couldn’t be bothered to check it and tried ripping us off. Appealed against the deductions from our deposit which they then couldn’t be bothered to submit “evidence” to back up their claim up. I wonder how many people they’ve ripped off with just their standard professional cleaners after tenants have moved out. Luckily we didn’t lose any of our deposit. Would never recommend them to anyone. Would rather talk to you like crap via email.
