Having used Executive Lets for over a decade to rent properties we have been thoroughly let down by Martin & Co on a number of occasions since they took over Executive Lets in 2017. The Plymouth office manager Chris Whittaker has been rude and aggressive in response to a major complaint and has refused to take any responsibility for their failures or offer any apology. Their failures cost us several thousand pounds and they are still chasing us for £190 from 2019 when we moved our business elsewhere. Worst service I got in my life is coming from Martin & Co. So unprofessional team is very rare to find. Every time I had to call them to fix certain things from my flat I was told that to call later or, someone will call me later, and guess what? Nobody called me back ever. When I had to first move to Radiant house, I have been told that I can move in on 1st of the month, I have moved out from the old flat, and, and, surprise: one day before I got a phone call and I've been informed that I can't move in next day, and I could move in on 14 the if the month. Cost me lots of money to stay in a hotel for two weeks. Talking about Radiant House, was saying that there is an elevator. There is one, LoL, but was out of order at leat 7 days a month, and I got stucked in to many times. Rats. There was a rat infestation as well when I lived there, call them, nothing happened. I'm just disgusted of you Martin &Co. JUST AVOID THIS GUYS! I would gave you 0 stars, but google doesn't have this option. We booked 3 viewings and travelled 6 hours to visit the properties. Upon arriving to Plymouth (within 24hours of the viewings) they were all cancelled for various reasons. I was not made aware prior to my trip that cancellations for such reasons may occur. This resulted in the trip to Plymouth being a waste of time. If you're looking for a property to rent I wouldn't ever recommend Martin and Co. The Negotiators are great at finding you somewhere and doing the viewing and move in, but the property managers are very bad and just don't care, took over a month to get a response from Alana. Moved out in the end because of their incompetence, even my landlord told me he knew they had 'issues'.
Got told I would be on a reserve list to view a property which is the first time I’ve ever experienced this as a multi landlord looking for my next cash purchase, feel sorry for the sellers not making the decision who should view and the agent picking and choosing
I’ve been a tenant with Martin & co for one year and 8 months. Time in which the en-suite bathroom only worked for approximately 6 months if not even less. Myself and the other tenants have been in touch with them to sort this but our requests either got ignored or forgotten. Sadly, this has not been the only issue, a lot of maintenance problems we’ve reported have gone forgotten or simply ignored. When they’ve sent out plumbers or technicians they were unprepared to work with the system fitted in the flat. We have asked for a reduction in rent as we are paying for 3bed 2baths but only one bath works. The landlord refused to give us the reduction as it hasn’t been explained by our property manager why we’ve requested this in the first place. To make matters worse, some of the employees can be rude.
Rude staff, blame everything on you, when it's not your fault, and when they do find out it actually it is not your own fault, they do not apologise or nothing, they make out you have done something wrong and make you feel like the bad guy, … More
