We moved in to our very first rented Flat as a newly engaged couple with lots of nerves, questions and excitement. 14th December 2019. We had no idea about what we were doing having both lived at home with parents !!! Martin & Co (Emily) are currently representing me and my elderly father during the sale of his property in Plymouth. Martin & Co were the obvious choice based on a visit from Tom earlier in the year where he explained the whole process to us. He was extremely professional, friendly and considerate to our particular needs. I have spoken to a number of the staff and cannot fault any of them. We were assigned Emily as our main point of contact and she has been wonderful. She hit it off with my father when they first met and was always happy to stay and chat with him over a cuppa, which he really appreciated. Since he has moved out of the property (and away from the area) Emily has kept us up to date with regular calls. She even looks in on the property for us when there ar no viewings to make sure all is ok. We have recently had a leak and Emily has provided us with photos of the problem and has also arranged for local tradesman to gain access to diagnose the fault and quote for repairs. Nothing is too much trouble and we are extremely grateful for Emily's help with everything.

A big thank you to Martha, for her assistance, investigation skills and her clear and concise communication over the last week or so. She never left me out of the loop and kept me informed on a step by step basis regarding my enquiry. Thank you so much Martha, you are a credit to Martin & Co :-) I would also, somewhat belatedly, like to pass on my thanks, gratitude and appreciation to Emily, Tom and Jonathan who took care of me and guided me through the process of my property purchases. I would have got lost and buried in paperwork and procedures without their attentive guidance and would never have been able to complete at the start of the year without them. Thank you so much!!

We used martin & co after speaking to many different estate agents. Jonathan sold us the dream by showing as much passion to sell our property as we had, and with his swift response to taking pictures and signing a contract, we were on the market within a couple days which suited us as we went away for a week and had several viewings in the first week. Unfortunately we had a buyer who pulled out on our sale but Emily soon had another offer on the table within a couple weeks which meant we could still proceed with our purchase. Emily chased the solicitors and other parties regularly and kept the ball rolling which meant we completed in around 8 weeks which is good at Christmas time. Would highly recommend and I thank all at martin & co and wish you all the best in the future.

Louise was very helpful and knowledgeable during our viewings, and has since been a great help during the letting process. Fast and informative replies to queries, and made sure to keep us updated on the progress of our tenancy.

There should be more stars! Emily has been absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process. The ineptitude and mistakes of other professionals made it a very long and tortuous road to completion, but Emily was always there, patient, supportive, and reassuring, both to myself and to the vendors. A breath of fresh air and most highly recommended for sales and purchases; I only wish we had shifted from other Mutley plain Estate Agents earlier, and who each made a chaotic, bewildering and complete mess of simple tasks. Tom's careful analysis of the market and trends helped decide which of our properties to sell, which ones to let and which ones to keep at a turbulent time in the markets. We were also 'picky' about whom we would sell to, as we would retain freehold interest in the sales and AST landlord interests in the lets (We didn't take the letting service as proportionately too expensive). Emily and Jonathan both rose to the sales challenges extremely well, and sifted out buyers who did not fit. No easy task, but neatly and courteously done, with Emily truly excellent at chasing up through some strangely difficult buyers' solicitors buyer procrastination. Jonathan's enthusiasm was infectious and his professionalism and courtesy in customer care was exemplary (and a pleasure, too). Overall a thoroughly pleasant and decent office, earning high praise and to whom we shall return in the Spring for the next couple of properties to go on the market. We have bought and sold a large number of properties over the years, in various towns, but Martin & Co's performance exceeded them all by a wide margin.

Let me start by saying my journey to letting our house was far from straightforward, however this is nothing to do with Louise and the team from Martin and Co! Louise worked really hard with difficult circumstances to get us into our lovely home. Emails, calls and messages were always promptly answered, Louise kept us informed and worked faultlessly to make the best possible solution for us and our landlord.
