It was good experience with ELC Sales & Letting.
Talking as a tenant, they were Ok until we found a property and paid 6 months upfront to rent it but when our landlord wouldn't return our deposit (which he also did to the previous tenants) we tried to let them know but they were not interested..
An overall good and acceptable experience, they were quick to fix a broken shower and ordering a new fridge, however the flat was not very clean upon moving in (such as pubic hair in the shower, discussed it via email with pictures, etc) and they also charge £30 for a tenant reference that took 1 minute to complete via a link, hence the 3 stars.
Not a great look for the company when the company branded car is being driven over the speed limit and tailgating people who are driving at the speed limit. Is anything really that urgent at 9:15am on a Sunday morning?
0 if possible. Attempt to tie tenants into contracts and not helpful in the slightest.
Horrendous company. We have been waiting for our radiator to be fixed for 4 MONTHS NOW and keep getting messed about by the landlord, agent names Joseph, and the third party contractor. Our radiator is a health and safety hazard, in addition to myself having health issues, and we’ve been left without heating in our living room for 4 months during the worst time of the year due to sub freezing temperatures. I’m now on antibiotics for recurring sinus and chest infections. We’ve been promised at least 5 times that the radiator “would be fixed this week” but then are completely ignored - the agent and contractor both blame this on the landlord for ignoring them, but completely failed to give us any alternative. Our sink has also been broken for over a month now after our washing machine packed in and the contractor damaged it. Joseph has failed to help us with rectifying this. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HORRENDOUS COMPANY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL WELL-BEING.
Well where to start… Viewing and prior to keys was excellent. Since getting the keys only word is shitshow… got the keys and inventory was 1week/2 weeks late as well as certificates for safety. Not hot water, no heating and now power. Scottish power came to do a bypass on meter to sort heating but still no hot water. This has been reported however with landlords having 24 hours to fix this and this is not resolved nearly 12 hours later… I would not recommend and this is my first property and ultimately enough to put me off renting for life. No the greatest of experiences.
