Cowboys. Always concerned about what possible extras they can charge you as a tenant. Initially refused to allow us a 6-month contract instead of 12. Then kept making threats that they would charge us for sending an engineer to look at the heating that wasn't working. Eventually agreed to send one, who found out that the entire system was faulty and poorly installed. They did absolutely nothing about it. In their visit reports they made sure to look for the most minuscule details (like some moss on the lawn tiles) while ignoring serious structural (like a rotten staircase) or heating issues (half the radiators didn't work) that were the landlord's responsibility. When we left they drafted a ludicrous checkout report stating cleaning and damage issues that were either fabricated or predating our tenancy. They neglected that all our initial inventory correspondence was with an employee that no longer works there and we succeeded in disputing most of the charges. All the while, they convinced the landlord to spend 216 pounds to dispute these fabricated charges, to only obtain 220 from us after almost 3 months of dispute. All they did was attach 3 PDF files and scammed the landlord for an easy extra payday. I also saw how they charged our former next door neighbours 600 pounds for cleaning (which I witnessed myself was unnecessary) and damages/missing items. I witnessed how they refurbished entire rooms and filled up a skip in the driveway while they were claiming that the same fixtures they had already disposed of were allegedly damaged and claimed compensation for. We also received, on occasion, repeated phone calls from the property manager, asking for updates on our due rent before the due date was over and knowing, in full, that it was always paid through standing order and we had never missed a single payment. Steer clear, whether you are a landlord or a tenant. No idea how they got 4.9 stars with the terrible service they provide and the revolting attitude they have to offer.
