It is written to protect both yourself and the landlord. For yourself to prevent you getting in further financial difficulty and the landlord to protect their asset. We have to compensate the landlord as the property had been taken off the market pending your checks, in which time someone else could have applied for the property. We're sorry you feel this way but we do ask all relevant questions before you commit to taking the property so you are fully aware of all procedures.
