The tenancy was ended without the required notice being provided, and this was clearly explained at the time. Following check-out, the property was not returned in a similar condition to that recorded at the start of the tenancy, which resulted in deductions being proposed in line with the tenancy agreement. As managing agents, we act on behalf of the landlord and are required to follow the correct procedures. All deductions and the process were fully explained to you, and your deposit was protected with the DPS. Where disputes arise, the DPS makes an independent decision. If the adjudicator finds in favour of the landlord, this is not a decision made by ourselves. We always aim to be transparent and fair, and we regret that this experience has been stressful for you.
