I would like to commend Curchods (New Malden) for a professional and personalised service in marketing the sale of my late parents home in the Groves area. Having researched their performance via Get Agent and submitted an enquiry to a couple of the more successful candidates, Rupert Matthews (Assistant Manager/Senior Negotiator) was the first to make instant contact with me, almost immediately in fact, which was an excellent start, and put Curchods firmly ahead in my personal ratings for proficiency by engaging with me to book a valuation. After agreeing a revised fee, the proactive marketing campaign began with a surge of enquiries and initial viewings. Rupert was quick to update me as and when required. I was then introduced to Victoria Yates (Senior Negotiator), another superb member of the Curchods team, who was equally as quick to engage with another stream of potential buyers, rapidly providing feedback which led to an earlier offer being accepted. Whilst this was unfortunate not to proceed at the time, both Victoria and Rupert where back on the sales campaign with more viewings lined up. Since the outset, it was important for me personally that the right buyers would take ownership of our beloved home that had been in the family for 55 years. Victoria found us a lovely young couple and after some negotiations on price, I was pleased to accept their offer. I also arranged the conveyancing through Curchods, via their recommended Solicitor, Langleys. Again, another good decision as this led to my introduction to Laura Taylor, Curchods own Sales Progression Manager, who has a good rapport with the Solicitor, providing a seamless transition and responsive communications with regular updates on a weekly basis. Throughout the entire property sale process, during a pandemic I might add, extreme and careful precautions were taken by the team, allowing viewings to continue with safety in mind, not only for themselves, but for others. My parents house, where both my Sister and I grew up, will continue to have sentimental value and the most happiest of memories, something that the Curchods team fully understood. Many of the team had some involvement one way or another, whether it was Chris Jakob (Partner) confirming the final sale or Bethan Jakob (Negotiator) sending regular viewing booking confirmations via email, I always felt there was a personal connection whenever there was any form of communication by phone or otherwise. In a small but vibrant community like New Malden, choosing the right agent is extremely important, as local knowledge combined with an extended reach to nearby Curchods branches and additional online property portals are deciding factors. The sale of our family home was completed on Friday 9th April, which took just under 11 weeks from the initial acceptance.
