Graham Hill of Northwood did a most excellent job for both myself and my partner in the selling of our property in Kents Hill, Milton Keynes. Unfortunately the buyer chose an ‘on-line’ cheap and cheerful solicitor – to save a little money perhaps – and this caused a great deal of frustration for all of us. The buyers solicitors were very difficult to contact and the sale, which should have been very straight forward and simple with no ‘chain’ on either side (and the buyer desperate to move out of rented accommodation) – took six months to complete. Conversely, my partner and I chose a local solicitor for the conveyance (a company that we had used for many years; their offices just down the road in Stony Stratford), so they were very easy to contact and visit if necessary. The sale with our buyers was negotiated and agreed in December 2023. Finally, everything went through with exchange of contracts and completion in early May 2024.
