I'm not one to write reviews, but felt obliged to in this case. PJC have been dishonest about the condition of properties, even after damning survey results set out specific issues. I shared my £500 survey in full with the estate agent (which showed 'movement and poor workmanship throughout') on the basis they would use it to reflect the advert and be transparent about the property's condition in order to avoid people like myself wasting money, but they failed to honour that agreement. The branch manager, (Annaline) also claimed that drainage under a property not being water tight wasn't a problem (despite a survey revealing signs of movement as a result of that). I don't expect them to be experts but that basic lack of knowledge is concerning. A survey on a different property I expressed an interest in revealed it required a new roof, and when a buyer pulled out, they made no mention of that on the advert - they simply added the line, 'sold as seen' (anyone would think they were selling a table with a wonky leg on Facebook Marketplace). They also seem to have been listing properties they've already sold, possibly to gain more clients (the minute one is uploaded, I'm told via phone that it's already been sold, so it's something beyond 'high demand'). Despite some staff being a credit to the company, the overall approach made it a very disappointing experience. Transparency is key and can save everyone time and money.
