If you are a Landlord, please, please do not put your tenants off by using GoodLord or find a way to workaround its roadblocks and get the confirmation you need via other means when the application fails. As a Landlord, your goal is to get the information you need to rent out your property. The goal is not to follow a software application that has arduos processes that may not work. Referencing via GoodLord is the worst experience I have ever had. I honestly can't believe they purchased Vouch which has an efficient and quick process. Instead, Goodlord uses a bot that mandates a potential renter to connect their bank account or link to HMRC when they can easily confirm the customer's income from payslips or directly from their employer or from 3 months bank statement. What are they doing with all that personal information and how is it legal and compliant with GDPR? Failures/weaknesses of using bots/AI should have been compensated by human agents when the process is delaying/failing. Goodlord do not do this but can bombard you with marketing emails, calls, and texts for utility packages. Very invasive & tedious reference check requiring so many processes, several written responses, taking so much time (almost 2 weeks). Whoever designed this platform does not have user/customer experience in mind considering the stress the renter is already facing moving house.
