As a tenant you never really know your letting agent until things start to go wrong, which inevitably they will. All lettings agents are quick and efficient at organising you moving in and removing your cash, but whats sets them apart is 2 things. Firstly, once they have our cash how quickly they respond to issues, and secondly, the quality of tradesmen they send to sort the issues. I have been with Jordan Fishwick for nearly 12 months and as expected there has been a couple of things go wrong, washers failing, and a small issue with the flooring and electics. Our queries and requests for help have been dealt with by Oliver, both promptly and with understanding, but more importantly the contractors sent round have all been spot on. There is a huge difference in quality of contractors used by Jordan Fishwick and some of the other Letting agents in and around Manchester. Both Chris the Electrian and the chap that came to fix the washer have been courteous when arriving, have promtly fixed issues and more importantly kept us updated on arrival etc. Oliver has been a pleasure to deal with as a property manager which is not something I ever thought I would say about a property manager after renting a variety of places over the last 10 years. Anything sent direct to him is dealt with quickly. Yes there are niggles, calls to the office sometimes go unactioned, and need prompting, it can be a bit of a panic when you get an email at 5:30pm to tell you that they are arriving for an inspection sometime over the next working day so you cannot arrnage time off, but lets face it no business is perfect and if I have ever had to question things like the above its been dealt with effeciently and without fuss. So all in all, I would be happy to recomend to a friend which I suppose is the benchmark on if a company is ok or not.
