Stow Brothers offered the worst of both worlds as they failed to represent the best interests of buyer or seller; they only represented themselves and only cared about getting the sale through at any cost. In our case this involved the agent promising a substantial reduction in sale price if we did not complete by a specified date (who would agree to that?!), all without our consent and not listed on the Memo of Sale. That they covered the costs for this dodgy deal, essentially admission of guilt, was the only honourable thing they could do. We were also offered poor advice when the house was undervalued by the bank. The buyers' behaviour was even more despicable, though Stow Brothers tapped into their experience and similar values there to deal with them effectively. Look past the fancy marketing and watch out, based on our experience.
