Terrible experience. I am still waiting for my deposit 2 months after I left. I have phoned twice a week and sent numerous emails and I am just getting silence. I get promised someone will return my call and no one ever has. Just ridiculous. Is this even legal?

Dear Scott, We are sorry to hear there have been delays with your deposit. Unfortunately, the TDS (tenancy deposit scheme) guidelines advise there is a 3 month period in which a deposit can be released dependant on circumstances and in this instance, I can see that unfortunately there had been no mutual agreement between yourself and the landlord. The team have attempted to negotiate with the landlord on your behalf and we understand that you now need to expedite which they are happy to assist you with via the TDS process, escalate to an adjudicator and hopefully they can reach a very quick decision on your behalf.
