Paid rent on time for five years and they never had any issues with the state of the apartment (multiple inspections a year!). But now that they have to return the additional rent I paid and provide the status on my deposit, communication has been nothing but terrible. It seems like you are working with professional people when you are looking to rent but I think what matters more is how they wrap things up at the end of leases.
