Good. Recommended!

Whenever I had a problem with my property Sharpes were always there and ready to help me! And this was when the lease ended. Recommended.

Worst estate agent experience I've ever had

The whole process was terrible. The house we rented was dreadful. We had a 6 month old baby and feel the estate agent should have considered this when showing us the property, however I can accept that we saw the house so it is our own mistake that we accepted it. When we went to collect the keys the estate agent didn't have our contract. We had to chase a number of times before receiving it. They didn't have any details of the deposit scheme that would be used, they didn't even know which scheme was being used. Meter reading weren't taken. The house was filthy - there were mouse droppings in the kitchen. The furniture was falling apart in some rooms so we asked for it to be removed. The agent confirmed we could leave the damaged furniture in the garden however the landlady was furious when they discovered this. The furniture remained in the garden for almost 6 months and was very unsightly. The agent told us there would be no formal check in - the landlady then turned up on the Sunday afternoon while we were in the middle of unpacking as she had apparently arranged this time with the agent. We were unable to do the check in as we had a poorly 6month old and had parents staying to help with the move - a proper check in was never really done. It took the landlady almost a month to have a broken window fixed - it was the middle of Jan and was not fit for a 6 month old however there was no assistance from the agent. The landlady shouldn't be represented she was so bad. When our boiler broke in the middle of winter the landlady wouldn't help rectify - at 5pm at night (after being told first thing that day) she told us we could buy a £13 heater from Argos - but we had no way of getting there after our baby was in bed. We own a rental property and would never use Sharpes to represent us as we felt they were unprofessional, unprepared and told complete lies to us. We also wouldn't rent through Sharpes should we ever need to rent in the future.
