Horrible experience. Agent who made original appt with me and checked up to confirm the day before was not the person who turned uo, who was the manager, and whom I found extremely rude and defensive. Gave me a lame excuse as to why the original person did not turn up, said it was some family issue; but I found out later that that estate agent does not work on Thurs. A lie always ends up getting deeper and deeper when made. The manager upset me tremendously as he was so rude I asked him to leave my house a number of times within minutes of him arriving. Weeks later I decided to give the original estate agent I spoke to another chance. He turned up to value the property. I did not appreciate his line of questioning and attitude. It was hard sell and trick questions; all with the intent of making as much money for them the estate agent and a quick sale, and nothing to do with me as a client. I immediately told him I was not at all interested in his quote and signalled that the meeting was over as I had till then, not appreciated how he had conducted himself and spoken to me. He started criticising my house and belittling it and used all the hard push sales techniques he knew to try and hard sell me his firm's services, that they were the best in the area and manipulate me emotionally; which I found highly upsetting. He would not take no for an answer. He pretended to make an effort to leave and asked to shake my hand in an attempt to make a connection to resume and continue to push me to take them on and accept his quote; and continue to emotionally manipulate me by scare mongering me about the house markets etc etc. I asked him to leave. He kept hoovering, again using hard sales tactics. The next day he kept bombarding me with long text messages with the same emotionally upsetting and exploitive hard sales tactics ie belitting my house and saying I could not do any better than their services, so I blocked him.
