I had a very bad experience with my previous state agent (dp) and was sceptical with Northwood initially. My experience with Northwood has transformed my view of the state agent sector as a whole - there are poorly managed ones but also excellent ones, such as Northwood. There is an excellent professional team at Northwood, from the initial valuing (Adam), to management (Jade), the accounts team (Peter) and many others who I have not dealt with directly. I was informed at every step of the rental process and advised and assisted accordingly (obtaining landlord insurance, electrical condition report etc). Peter at the accounts team emailed me at 6am the day after receiving the tenant payment to inform me the fund is coming into my account the next day with a breakdown of itemised bills. All documents (inventory with detailed forms and photos, electrical condition report, energy performance report and contract etc.) were sent to me in a timely manner. With my previous agent, I received few formal documents and had to routinely chase rental payment (after the tenant informed me they had paid one or two weeks prior), I found dealing with Northwood is such a fresh breath of air and extremely impressed by their professional conduct and excellent service! I would highly recommend Northwood to any tenants and landlords.
