In November 2021 we viewed a house listed by Ewe move estate agents in Stafford. After meeting Mike at the property, my wife and I really liked the property. A few hours after visiting the property Mike, phoned us and asked us if we were interested? which we were and put an offer in, on the condition that it was taken off the market, and any more viewings cancelled. Mike seamed extremely helpful and even set a WhatsApp group with him, my wife and myself. We then instructed our solicitor, and received the memorandum of sale from Mike. As we waited for the memorandum of sale for our property to be completed, little did we know Mike was still conducting viewings on the property. Mike assured us that everything was fine and that our offer was secure. When our memorandum of sale was sent to Ewe move, we asked if the house would now be marked as sold STC Mike messaged us and said "it sure will" . Later that day Mike phoned us and told us that the vendors had received another offer on the property, and if we wanted to continue the purchase we would have to up our offer. Annoyingly we increased our offer but was still outbid by another person. I understand that these things happen. The annoying part of this whole thing was that Mike reassured us during the whole process and kept telling us that our offer had been secured. Mike lied to us and in our opinion misled us during the whole process, continuing to conduct viewings on the property.
