This means that tenants always have the option to raise a dispute with the scheme if they disagree with any proposed deductions. Importantly, any deductions made from a deposit are used solely to return the property to its original condition subject to "fair wear and tear"— for example, to cover cleaning or repairs for damage — and are not retained as profit by Mansons.
