I used Sawyer & Co try to sell a one bedroom flat after being made lots of promises about regular engagement, client focused processes and transparency via metric sharing. They were extremely keen prior to getting my business but then absolutely rubbish after that. I recieved no updates unless I chased repeatedly for them. The website viewings were only shared with me twice in 3 months despite us agreeing weekly updates on numerous occasions. When I did get site of them they were appalling and when I asked for advice on what to do I was told they would move the pictures around. This happened several times. I dropped the price... it had no impact. I saw no evidence of them actively trying to sell the property, it was very much stick it in the selling sites and see who calls us. I tried to raise the issue with the Director, Chris Sawyer, via email and on LinkedIn direct message. I never heard back from him. It was with them for 3 months and resulted in a paltry 4 viewings, this was at a time when the Brighton market was very buoyant, with some experts putting it at a 18% higher selling rate than normal. I gave them notice to take the flat off the market with them and moved to another agency. We have had 5 viewings in the first week alone. Do not use them, it seems both their staff and management are happy to sit back and let people come to them. This is not what I would expect from an agency that were hoping to take thousands of pounds from me for 'selling' the property, should someone stumble upon it and ask them if they could buy it.

Can I ask which agency you switched to? I currently have Sawyer renting out my property (fully managed) in Brighton, but I'm looking to sell it and I want a proactive, not a passive agency. It took them ages to find a tenant for my property initially which cost me money.
