Moving in to a new home with a partner is meant to be an exciting time but this nightmare is far far away from that. We were handed the keys to a property that was filthy; that didn’t have a smoke alarm (legal requirement). We still don’t have any heating after nearly a week being here. After numerous calls and visits to the branch. We feel incredibly misled because the landlord is elderly and deaf. We weren’t told the situation before moving in and he’s hard to get in touch with. As Paige said on the phone today “he’s a nightmare”! Our front door doesn’t lock, the hot water is just about dripping out and there’s hazardous wires all over the floor. Sawyer and co don’t want to deal with the landlord so they’ve palmed us of with no duty of care. While both working full time this has caused so much stress and upset.
